Version 0.7.1

Bug fixes across Card Editor and Study Mode • Faster, smoother library loads on iPhone • Create decks right from the Deck Picker

0.7.1 · macOS, iOS

Improvements

  • Create New Deck from the Deck Picker (macOS): Moving cards to a deck that doesn’t exist yet? The Deck Picker now includes a “Create New Deck” row that opens the Deck Builder directly
  • Card Editor polish (macOS): The editor now opens at full size so large cards and the thumbnail strip fit comfortably, and an armed math or code tool shows right in the cursor so you always know what a click will place
  • Tidier deck folders (macOS): Internal card-ordering files are now hidden in Finder, so deck folders show just your cards and assets — iCloud sync and iPhone reads are unaffected
  • Home screen & menu bar refinements (macOS): Interactive prompt ideas on the Home screen plus a refreshed menu bar tile icon and menus
  • Branded document icon (iOS): .supercards files now show the SuperCards document icon in Files, AirDrop, and share sheets
  • Smoother library loads (iOS): Library scanning and iCloud reads moved off the main thread, so launching the app and opening your Library feels more responsive

Bug Fixes

  • Card Editor (macOS): Closing the editor after emptying a deck no longer resurrects a blank card, and the “Save a Copy…” menu icon is visible again
  • Study Mode (iOS): Rapid swipe and flip gestures can no longer race each other into a stuck state, and the study timer now starts when your cards actually finish loading
  • Honest sync states (iOS): If a deck fails to load (for example, offline before iCloud has downloaded it), you now see a clear failure banner instead of an empty “no cards” screen — and changes synced during a Study Mode session now appear when you exit
  • Receiving decks (iOS): A quickly-arriving second deck no longer gets stuck behind the first confirmation sheet, a duplicated entry in a deck’s order file no longer crashes the app, and a device-only import failure was fixed alongside hardened block-math rendering

Technical Updates

  • iOS storage-root resolution is now computed exactly once per launch; as a result, a mid-session iCloud sign-in or sign-out takes effect at the next app launch
  • New regression tests across both apps: receive-queue continuation, gesture races, load-failure states, compute-once initialization, and duplicate order-entry handling
