Bug Fixes
- An undo after a save is no longer lost (macOS): Undoing a change after saving a card left the card looking saved: no amber dot, Save dark, and closing the Card Editor didn’t ask. The undo was then dropped, and your iPhone kept the card as it was before it. The card now shows as unsaved, and closing asks first
- An edit made during a save is kept (macOS): A change made in the moment a save was finishing could be counted as saved along with it, though it never reached the card’s file. It now stays unsaved until the next save
- Undoing back to the saved card reads as saved (macOS): Undoing every change since the last save left the amber dot and Save lit, and closing asked about changes that were already gone. The card now reads as saved again
- No phantom edits from a click (macOS): A click on an empty part of a card makes a text box there. Left empty, that box marked the card as edited and left two undo steps that did nothing, and a new card you had only clicked on asked about unsaved changes when you closed it. A box left empty now leaves no trace. A box you type in is one undo step, so one ⌘Z removes it
- Undo while typing (macOS): Clicking Undo in the editor’s panel while typing in a text box seemed to do nothing, and the typing came back a moment later. It now undoes the typing
- No crash from the menu bar icon (macOS): Turning Menu Bar Access off and back on, then clicking the menu bar icon, quit SuperCards at once, losing any unsaved changes in the Card Editor. The icon now opens its window as usual
- Menu Bar Access stays off (macOS): With Menu Bar Access turned off in Settings, the menu bar icon came back the next time SuperCards opened. The setting now holds from one launch to the next
Improvements
- Undo a card’s color (macOS): Changing a card’s color can now be undone and redone. A drag in the color picker is one step, and choosing the color the card already has changes nothing (it used to mark the card as edited)
- Undo shows what it changed (macOS): When an undo or redo changes only the other face of the card, the Card Editor turns the card to show it. Undo also leaves the zoom where it is, and dragging a box back to where it started adds no undo step
Technical Updates
- The Card Editor decides whether a card is unsaved by comparing it with the version last saved to disk, instead of keeping a flag that edits set and saves cleared
- Undo history now includes the card’s style, and leaves out the zoom level and the view’s position
- The menu bar icon opens its window from the icon’s current button, so turning Menu Bar Access off and on can’t leave it pointing at one that’s gone
