Adding images to cards

There are four ways to add images to your notecards:

• File upload — click the upload button at the right end of the toolbar to open a file picker
• Drag and drop — drag image files onto the Card Editor (up to five at a time); a drop zone appears
• Clipboard paste — copy an image anywhere, then paste it onto the card (Cmd + V or right-click → Paste)
• From a URL — right-click the canvas and choose Add image from URL

Formats and limits

JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF are all supported, up to 10 MB per file. Images are automatically compressed and optimized for editing and mobile Study Mode, and duplicates are detected so the same picture isn't stored twice.

Once an image is on the card, drag it to position it and use the handles to resize — images always keep their aspect ratio.
